This time of year is bittersweet to me. I see so many other people embracing fall, and as much as I love fall; living in North Dakota I know what is right around the corner (shhhh...winter). This year Kyler started his second year of Pre-School which has also made this fall extra bittersweet. My denial of winter around the corner has meant that I'm behind on fall decor, fall meals or anything "fall-ish". With that said here's a little glimpse into our summer and early fall.
-Summertime at the lake-
We are blessed to have such great summer memories. The past few years we've hit up Herzog Berries in Underwood, Minnesota. The family that runs the farm has such great values and is incredibly welcoming to all that come. They started the farm as a way to fund their children's college education, which makes the experience that much better! It's definitely a family affair, the children greet you and help you find your way to a great spot full of berries.
- Last bonfire of the season-
I cannot believe my little guy is starting his last year of Pre-School, it makes me realize how fast children grow up. I thank God for the extra time I've had with him the past few years and want to soak up every last bit of this year.
